Sue Michalek, Ph.D

Dr. Sue Michalek, Chief Technology Officer, is an emeritus professor of Microbiology at UAB, with expertise in mucosal vaccine development and the immunologic mechanisms involved in microbial-host interactions. She has 30+ years of experience in the development of vaccines against a variety of viral and microbial pathogens, including whole cell and subunit vaccines and a variety of antigen delivery systems and adjuvants.
